⚠ Critical Legal Disclaimer — Please Read Before Proceeding

The content published on IsraelLaw.info is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, legal opinion, or any other form of professional legal service. You must not rely on any content on this Site as a basis for any legal decision, legal position, or course of action.

No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of this Site, by your reading of any content published on it, or by any communication you initiate through it — including messages submitted via the contact form — unless and until a formal written engagement agreement has been signed between you and Eli Shimony – Law Office.

Always consult a qualified, licensed Israeli attorney before making any legal decision or taking any action involving Israeli law. Laws change. Every situation is unique. General information — however accurate and well-intentioned — cannot substitute for personalised professional legal advice tailored to the specific facts of your case.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using IsraelLaw.info (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must immediately cease using the Site.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Eli Shimony – Law Office ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the Site. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Nature of This Website

IsraelLaw.info is an English-language legal information resource designed to help foreign nationals, diaspora communities, and international investors understand the Israeli legal system. The Site publishes guides, articles, and explanatory content covering various areas of Israeli law including inheritance, real estate, immigration, corporate law, and related fields.

The Site is maintained by Adv. Eli Shimony, a licensed Israeli attorney and member of the Israeli Bar Association. The content is written and reviewed to be accurate and current. However, the Site operates as an educational and informational resource only. It is not a law firm. It does not provide legal services. It is not a substitute for professional legal advice.

The Site generates revenue through Google AdSense advertising. The presence of advertisements does not constitute endorsement of any advertised product, service, or company by IsraelLaw.info or Eli Shimony – Law Office.

3. Expanded Legal Disclaimer

The following disclaimer applies to all content published on this Site, without exception:

3.1 Informational Purposes Only

All content on this Site — including articles, guides, FAQs, category pages, and any other materials — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not intended to be, and must not be construed as, legal advice. The information presented describes general principles of Israeli law as understood at the time of writing. It is necessarily general in nature and cannot account for the specific facts of your individual situation.

3.2 No Reliance

You must not rely on the content of this Site as the basis for any legal decision, position, or course of action. Acting or refraining from acting based on information found on this Site — without first obtaining specific legal advice from a qualified Israeli attorney — may result in legal, financial, or other harm for which IsraelLaw.info and Eli Shimony – Law Office accept no responsibility whatsoever.

This prohibition on reliance applies absolutely and without exception: regardless of how clearly or specifically any content appears to address your situation, it remains general information and cannot substitute for professional advice tailored to your particular circumstances.

3.3 Law Changes Frequently

Israeli law — including statutes, regulations, court decisions, and administrative guidance — is subject to frequent change. While we endeavour to keep content current, we cannot guarantee that all articles reflect the most recent state of the law at the time you read them. Always verify the current state of the law with a qualified attorney before acting on any information found on this Site.

3.4 Jurisdiction and Cross-Border Issues

Israeli law interacts with the laws of many other jurisdictions. Content on this Site addresses Israeli law only. It does not address the laws of any other country, nor the interaction between Israeli law and foreign law. Cross-border legal matters — including international inheritance, cross-border taxation, dual nationality, and international commercial contracts — involve complex multi-jurisdictional issues that require specialist advice in each relevant jurisdiction.

3.5 No Guarantee of Outcome

Nothing on this Site constitutes a guarantee, warranty, or prediction of any legal outcome. Legal proceedings and legal transactions are inherently uncertain. Past legal outcomes described in any content on this Site do not guarantee similar results in your matter.

4. No Attorney-Client Relationship

No attorney-client relationship is formed between you and Eli Shimony – Law Office by any of the following:

  • Visiting or using this Site;
  • Reading any article, guide, FAQ, or other content on the Site;
  • Submitting a message through the contact form on this Site;
  • Sending an email to any address associated with this Site;
  • Any other form of communication initiated through or because of this Site.

An attorney-client relationship with Eli Shimony – Law Office is established only upon the execution of a formal written engagement agreement, signed by both parties, and subject to the terms set out therein. Until such an agreement is in place, no information shared with us — whether through this Site or otherwise — is covered by attorney-client privilege.

Confidentiality notice: Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or privileged information through the contact form or by email unless and until a formal engagement has been established. Any information submitted through this Site prior to a formal engagement may not be treated as confidential.

However, we make no warranty — express or implied — as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or availability of any content on this Site. If, notwithstanding the above, we are found liable to you for any reason, our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount of NIS 500 (five hundred New Israeli Shekels).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Eli Shimony – Law Office, its attorneys, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of this Site in breach of these Terms; (b) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (c) any content you submit through the Site.
